Chateau Grand Renom Red

The History

The Vineyard is located at Eynesse, on the edge of the Bordeaux wine growing district and the Gironde department, just 60 kilometres east of Bordeaux. The estate’s 6.5 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc, planted at just 3,600 vines per hectare and aged 22 years, benefit from soils that fit white grape varieties: deep, fertile, with northern exposure.

The Grape

80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasting Note

The Palette reveals a fruity, rich wine, with a beautiful ruby-red colour. Delicate notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, and cherry are enhanced by a hint of woodiness. The attack is balanced, full-bodied and pleasant. Tannins are silky, with fine aromatic freshness.
