Dominio De Valdelacasan

The History

The Bodega del Palacio de los Frontura y Victoria is born as a different kind of business project. From the start, and in every detail of its development, its goal has been to employ the culture of quality and to harmonize tradition with the avant-garde.

Winemaking, as we see it, is a creative process in connection with other artistic manifestations

The Vineyard

The rolling and sheltered Pago de Valdelacasa estate near the Guarena river is located in the town of Villebuena, Zamora Province. The estate’s 180 hectares of surface area, 100 hectares of which have already been planted, extends over row sides of a rift on a barren plain that leads towards the valley, with the distinctive reddish and sandy soil that characterises this viticultural area. At a height of 654 meters above sea level, the Pago has a typical continental climate with extreme temperatures and an arid Atlantic influence. Yearly rainfall is scarceless than 400mm, but sun exposure is around 2800 hours, and temperatures range from 11 degrees to 37 degrees

Tasting Notes

100% Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) .A remarkable elegant red wine, intensely red in color with touches of garnet. Attractive on the nose, it displays aromas of compoted fruits, fresh almonds, white flowers with mineral notes such as graphite. Fresh, expressive and harmonie on the palate, this wine reveals a perfectly mature and attuned tannin, that reminds us of red fruits and licorice with the subtle coconut of its sojourn in barrels.
