Moillard Crozes Hermitage

The History

In 1846, the Wine lasting Board ol Lyons, in comparing the Her¬
mitage wine with its neighbour Crozes-Hermiiage, decJared : “if
they arc not brothers, they are cousins”.

The Vineyard

The Crozes-Hermitage vineyards, east ot Tain-rHeimitage, are
located on a plateau overlooking the confluence of the Rhone
and I sere. They are situated in the northern area of the Cotes du
Rhone, between Vienne and Montelimar,

The Wine

From 1200 hectares (3000 acres), the yearly yearly is about 6 million bottles.

Serve slightly below room temperature.

Tasting Notes

100% Syrah. Planted with Syrah grapes, this vineyard produces
typical wines of character : strong, with body and rich in aromas.
Wine lovers will immediately recognise this wine because of its
deep, complex bouquet similar to the aromas in a herbalist’s shop,

Food Pairing

These wines are peifect with nieat or cheese. They can even be
served with exotic ftxxl or very spicy dishes, something which is
unusual for red wines.
