Chateau Leoville Poyferre 

The History

In the reign of Louis XIII, in 1638, a certain Jean
de Moytie, Counsellor of the Bordeaux
parliament and a noble bourgeois of the town,
owned a beautifully sloped gravelly vineyard near
the River. This place, as was the tradition, was
named after its owner and thus became the
“Mont-Moytie.”

The Grape

61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 6%Petit
Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc

Tasting note

Elegant and distinguished, this wine has a very
beautiful deep and brilliant robe. It is rich in
aromas of blackcurrant and toasted oak. The
mouth is fruity with a very good and persistent
structure.
